Day five on the farm has seen many ups and downs occur with
the moving process.
We arrived on Friday 9th September expecting the
floors to be finished but alas this did not occur and continues to be a source
of distress and annoyance.
Many broken promises by a contractor that we thought was
going to do the right things by us.
We were expecting the floors to be finished by the time our
mountain of furniture was due to arrive but alas again this was not the case.
We have had to continually shuffle stuff from one place to
another.
We are at day 5 and the contractor has not turned up
again.
I guess this is just a lesson on
patience and calmness.
We do like the floor finish even though it has not been
fully completed.
Here is a before and after of the kitchen floor.
The same cannot be said about our painters. What an awesome
bunch of guys. They work so hard and put a lot of other tradies we know to
shame.
They have almost finished stripping the house down as well
as washing it in preparation for the beautification process.
Here are some photo’s of the process.
Photographs
of the finished house.
This is the view from my back steps which now overlooks the two
beautiful vegetable gardens that Boyd has built.
It is indeed shaping into our little piece of heaven.
